It’s true. Sitting around and waiting for things to happen is counterproductive. If you don’t help yourself, nobody else is going to help you. If you never ask, the answer is always no. Take a chance. You might be surprised at the outcome.
After a million phone calls and emails, I’ve finally confirmed Friday. I’ll be chatting with Mr. Andy Grammer himself. He’s performing with Train at Tanglewood, which is an iconic amphitheater nestled in the Berkshires. It’s where I’ve gone every summer for as long as I can remember to see James Taylor. The place holds a sacred space in my heart, so I’m really excited to be going to a show there in this capacity. I feel really blessed that I can do this, for you guys and myself.
In other concert news, my mom and I got tickets to see John Legend on October 26! We’re pretty stoked about that, we saw him with Sade earlier in the year and he killed it. He was amazing. It will be nice to see him as the headliner. More John Legend is never a bad thing. I snagged 2nd row seats, so we’re going to be up close and personal. MGM Grand at Foxwoods is a smallish venue (compared to some others) so it’s a pretty intimate set up. I’ve already contacted his people to see about chatting with him, so I’ll keep you guys updated. Cross your parts for me!
We’ve got lots of other stuff happening before the end of the year, including Justin Bieber (yay for the Believe tour!) and One Direction (can’t wait to hear Live While We’re Young live!) in November. O is super excited about those, obviously. They aren’t shows that I could go to without her, so I won’t be in media capacity, but I promise I’ll have plenty to say about them afterward.
